  AWARDS INSTITUTED BY IAVMI  
 
  1. Prof. P.K. Uppal young scientists travel grant for equine health promotion:
    The Indian Association on Veterinary Microbiologists, Immunologists and Specialists in Infectious Diseases (IAVMI) has instituted an award “Prof. P. K. Uppal young scientists travel grant for equine health promotion” to encourage young scientists for scientific exchange of thought to attend symposia and annual conference of IAVMI to present his work.  The eligibility for the award is any scientist / practitioner who is below 35 years as on 1st January of that particular year.  The candidates fulfilling the eligibility should submit three copies of application complete in all respects to general secretary of IAVMI before the stipulated date. The application should consist of full text of the scientific work, a brief biodata along with supportive evidence of his age and work. The work need to be carried out during the last 5 years. The work should have been done in India only. The award consists of a cash prize of Rs. 4000/- to participate in the conference along with a plaque and citation. All the eligible candidates should forward their text of the scientific work and biodata before 15th November, proceeding the year of annual conference.


  2. Late Dr. M. N. Kulkarni Memorial Award:
    The Indian Association of Veterinary Microbiologists, Immunologists and Specialists in Infectious Diseases (IAVMI) has instituted an award “Late Dr M N Kulkarni Memorial Award” to encourage young scientists for presenting best research paper during IAVMI Conference. The eligibility for the award is any scientist who is below 35 years as on 1st January of that particular year. The candidates fulfilling the eligibility should submit an application clearly indicating their willingness to be considered for the award while submitting the abstract. The application should consist of full text of the scientific work, a brief biodata along with supportive evidence of his age and work. The work need to be carried out during the last 5 years. The work should have been done in India only. The award consists of a certificate and a medal. All the eligible candidates should forward their text of the scientific work and biodata before 15th November, preceding the year of annual conference.


  3. Dr. C. M. Singh Best Research Paper Award:
    The Indian Association on Veterinary Microbiologists, Immunologists and Specialists in Infectious Diseases (IAVMI) has instituted “Dr. C. M. Singh Best Research Paper Award” to be awarded to a paper published in the Indian Journal of Comparative Microbiology, Immunology and Infectious Diseases every year. The papers are evaluated by a panel of three eminent scientists who award marks to the papers based on their scientific content and contributions to the field of animal health


  4. Dr. P. G. Pandey Memorial Oration Award:
    The IAVMI awards an Oration Award in the name of Dr. P G Pandey to one of the eminent veterinary microbiologist of the country every year.
