INSTRUCTIONS TO CONTRIBUTORS
Indian Journal of Comparative Microbiology, Immunology and Infectious Diseases, an official organ of the Indian Association of Veterinary Microbiologists, Immunologists and Specialists in Infectious Diseases publishes the articles of original research work pertaining to the Microbiology, Immunology and Infectious diseases of livestock, poultry and fish.
Research/Review articles should be submitted in duplicate, type written in Times New Roman Font of 12 size double space on one side of the paper in MS Word/Page Maker software. The paper should be sent to Dr. K. Dhama, Associate Editor, Indian Journal of Comparative Microbiology, Immunology and Infectious Diseases, Avian Diseases Section, Division of Pathology, Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar – 243 122, Bareilly (U.P.).
Please strictly follow the format of the journal for manuscript writing. Send the hard copy of the original and/or revised article in duplicate, along with its electronic version on a computer CD. Mention the corresponding address along with the e-mail and phone numbers. Simultaneously, the article should also be submitted by e-mail to the Editor.
In case of revised articles, please return the corrected manuscript in duplicate along with the original copy having referee’s comments. Point-wise justifications/corrections made in the light of referee’s comments should also be given on a separate sheet.
Please remit your processing fee and printing charges at the earliest by D.D./M.O.
The full length paper should be sub-divided as follows:
A separate sheet containing the title of the paper, surname of the authors with initials, Institutions and postal addresses
A summary giving brief and self-contained abstract of the paper
Introduction containing a brief consideration of the problem, short survey of the relevant literature and aim of the work
Materials and Methods including adequate and head-wise description of techniques and the experimental plan
Results and Discussion
Acknowledgements
References. The list of references as per the format such as:
Batty, I. and Walker, P.D. (1964). J. Pathol. Bacteriol., 88: 327.
Tables, illustrations and diagrams should be given on separate sheets. For preparation of illustration 2 copies of original photograph in glossy finish should be submitted. It must bear the title of article on its back and its legend on separate page.
"Short Communications” shall report result of sufficient significance to merit publication in advance of a more comprehensive paper, which confirms and adds to the existing knowledge but the data are not sufficient to justify a full paper. It should also contain a brief Introduction and the methodology. However, methods used must be adequately described with relevant references(s). Such communication should not exceed four printed pages including title, reference and figures, illustrations, photographs or tables. It should be written as running matter without any subheading.
One copy of the article should be duly signed by all the authors.
For publication of articles in the journal, following charges will be levied:
Processing charges: Rs. 150/- per article.
Printing charges:
Rs. 750/- ($75) upto 2 pages of article
Rs. 1250/- ($125) for 3-6 pages of the article
Rs. 150/- ($15) for every additional page
Rs. 1250/- ($75) for each colour page/plate.
20 reprints without any extra charges will be supplied to corresponding author
